A Café Just Off Club Street
So, I popped into KLARA Cafe and Bar the other day, right at 8 Club St, Singapore. It was a mixed bag, to say the least.
First impressions? The atmosphere is pretty casual, which is nice if you’re just looking for a chill spot. But man, the service? That’s where things went a bit sideways. Like, how do you forget someone’s iced water? That’s a rookie move.
Now, the drinks and food were decent, if not a tad underwhelming. I mean, for a $24 beef lasagna, you’d expect something more than lukewarm leftovers. Plus, they were out of hot sauce? Seriously? It left me scratching my head.
Despite all that, it sort of has that “good for groups” vibe. If you’re flying solo, you might find a corner to do your thing, but it may not elevate your day, if you know what I mean.
In the end, I don’t know if I’d rush back. But, hey, if you’re looking for a casual outing without high stakes, maybe give it a shot? Just don’t go expecting a culinary masterpiece.
