Ratings and feedback for Old Chai Chee Ko Ko Mee. (Hospitality and Gastronomy) located in Singapore (Singapore)
Overview
Strolling around Bedok Industrial Park, I stumbled upon Old Chai Chee Ko Ko Mee. This cozy coffee spot caught my eye. I mean, who can resist a place with a name that intriguing?
As I stepped inside, I instantly felt the local charm. The aromas of freshly brewed coffee wafted through the air. Perfect, right? Plus, they serve up Taiwan You Fan, which I’ve been dying to try ever since that Taiwanese food show piqued my interest. But heads up, it’s only available from lunch onward!
I grabbed a portion for $1.50. The yam flavor took me back to childhood, evoking memories of my mom’s cooking. They sprinkle some crispy fried shallots on top, too—what a nice crunch!
I paired it with fishball soup. It wasn’t anything I’d rave about, but hey, it was decent. Two fishballs and a bit of kang kong gave it some character.
If you find yourself nearby, and you’ve got a soft spot for glutinous yam rice, Old Chai Chee Ko Ko Mee is worth a visit. Just maybe don’t expect a Michelin star experience.
