Overview
A Sweet Stop at Softhaus
So, I found myself wandering around Great World, and bam! There it was – Softhaus, the ice cream shop everyone’s been buzzing about. Tucked away at 1 Kim Seng Promenade, it’s got a bit of flair, or at least it tries to.
First things first, let’s chat flavors. Some of ‘em are downright weird, if I’m honest. I mean, Turkish Maple Bacon? Really? I went for the classic pistachio and hazelnut combo—felt like Ferrero, but, like, in a giant size. The toppings counter? Totally a kiddo’s dream. But, not everything hit the mark. Like, some reviews mentioned that textures felt off. You know, like they threw in a dash of disappointment with the flavors!
And don’t get me started on the pricing—$6.42 a scoop? Yikes! That’s not exactly pocket change. But hey, at least they offer takeaway and some decent coffee, so there’s that.
Service can also be a mixed bag. One moment, the staff is generous with samples, the next, it’s a little lackluster. It seems a bit hit-or-miss.
If you’re in the area, it might be worth a swing by, but maybe keep your expectations in check. To each their own, right? 🍦
