So, I recently checked out Umi Sushi, tucked away at Eastpoint Mall. I mean, the vibe is super casual, perfect for your lunch break or a quick dinner. Seriously, who doesn’t love a spot that’s not too fussy?

Their Samurai don is a highlight—think tender teriyaki chicken with a luscious runny yolk. For under ten bucks, you really can’t complain. But, can we talk about the service? It’s hit or miss. Some staff are absolutely charming, while others, well, let’s just say they seem to be having a rough day.

I noticed they’ve got takeaway options, which is great if you’re in a hurry. Plus, it’s family-friendly, making it a solid choice for a casual meal with the kiddos. Just keep in mind, the place can get a little warm and crowded. Overall? It’s a mixed bag, but if you’re after decent sushi without breaking the bank, Umi Sushi might just do the trick.
